NAS OPERATING SYSTEM
is an advanced operating system solution.
It utilizes an advanced, modular architecture
for the creation of customized high-performance
file servers in multi-protocol client
environments. NAS OPERATING SYSTEM
adopts Snapshot technology as a core component
to extend its Enterprise Ready journal
file system. In addition, custom
integration of logical volume management
adds the ability to seamlessly enlarge
an active data partition online without
loss of access to data. Disk space
can be allocated on a user-by-user basis
using a quota mechanism that works with
file sharing protocols such as NFS, CIFS (Microsoft Windows), Apple Talk, and HTTP.
Just as importantly, a custom developed GUI interface delivers easy to use management
features right out of the box. The NAS OPERATING SYSTEM features are easy
to use with a graphical management interface
